Blizzard Warning FiOS1 News Weather Long Island
The new Nam which has just rolled on the scene has not important changes in my view. It is pretty much in line with its previous runs. Maybe its a tick south of last night. It certainly doesn’t make a difference at this point. It is pretty consistent and now 7 runs in a row like this
This looks to be the peak period of snow from mid afternoon to late evening for the NYC Long Island area though it is still going across much of New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. All of this will be out by daybreak Sunday. For Long Island this is my specific forecast and I’m pretty much going for 12 inches or more with blizzard conditions. Pretty simple. Strong winds to gale force and beyond, in fact gusts over 50 mph will occur. Coastal flooding and beach erosion is a big risk in Western Suffolk and Nassau County.
Now for the FiOS1 News Weather forecast for Long Island here is my friend and colleague Meteorologist Geoff Bansen.
