JOESTRADAMUS WEEKEND FORECAST

JOESTRADAMUS WEEKEND FORECAST

The weather for Friday and the weekend looks very good. We are looking at some minor complications Friday night and Saturday morning along the coast due to an onshore flow. This may bring in some low clouds and fog during the overnight Friday into Saturday morning. Most of this will be confined to Long Island and Coastal New Jersey though some of that fog will work its way inland. However the daytime Friday will be nice and dry with sunshine. Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania may have some leftover clouds to deal with and even a leftover shower can’t be ruled out. But some sun should be in the mix there as well. Temperatures will reach into the 80s in most places though it will stay cooler along the coast.

GFS SATURDAY MORNING 2AM

Saturday and Sunday during the day there will be no issues at all with mostly sunny skies. Even where there might be some dense fog early in the morning on Saturday, the fog will burn off quickly. Highs both days will be in the 80s but again it will be cooler along the shore.

GFS TUESDAY MORNING 2AM

gfs108 JOESTRADAMUS WEEKEND FORECASTMonday looks like a good day too with sunshine and highs in the 80s ahead of the next cold front. That front will arrive Tuesday morning with a few showers or a thunderstorm Monday night. The front is likely to stall a bit on Tuesday which might cause clouds and shower to linger. But it does move out and the second half of next week looks nice and dry. This will take us into the 4th of July holiday weekend.

One concern is the fact that conditions are once again become very dry across the area due to the lack of a widespread rainfall. There are moderate drought conditions developing and there is no sign of any widespread rain in the forecast. Even the opportunities for showers and thunderstorms here have been lackluster overall and though we have seen some locally severe weather with heavy rains it has been more isolated and to the south. There is no sign of this pattern breaking down anytime soon.
