4th of July Heat Humidity Scattered Thunderstorms Storm Risk Through Saturday
The days of low humidity are done and now we move through what till be a steamy stretch of weather through Saturday. Dew points continue to rise to the upper 60s to near 70. A weak upper trough is approaching and that will lead to scattered thunderstorms in Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England. Ahead of this today we will have sunshine taking highs to the upper 80s to lower 90s. A south wind will keep temperatures cooler along shore locations. Late today into this evening we will be watching for showers and thunderstorms though it should be stressed that not everyone will see storms, and most should be done by sunset.

WEATHER RADAR
Tonight will be very warm and humid with most lows in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Friday will be anothre day of sunshine and it will be very warm to hot and humid. Highs will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s. Another upper trough will approach and we could see some scattered thunderstorms late Friday and perhaps a higher chance Friday night as the trough moves through during the early morning hours.
Saturday we havei a cold front that will be approaching and this front will move through Saturday night. The front will keep on moving so there will be improving weather conditions for Sunday. However the air mass behind the front is not all that cool nor is it that dry. Saturday is going to be a steamy day with sunshine and high humidity. Highs will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s. Late in the day into Saturday evening we will see a line of thunderstorms develop.
It appears that the risk for severe thunderstorms with this front is low however we will include the possibility of an isolated severe thunderstorm or two in the mix. Humidity levels will move lower Sunday but they will still be on the muggy side as dew points only drop to the lower 60s. At least it will feel better than dew points in the lower 70s. Sunshine returns Sunday and highs will be a little lower but it will still reach the mid to upper 80s.
Next week we will see steamy conditions return Monday with high humidity and sunshine taking highs to the upper 80s and lower 90s. Tuesday will be another hot humid day with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s but another weak cold front could set off some thunderstorms late in the day. Enjoy your 4th of July holiday.
