New Jersey Long Range Forecast Week of July 18-24
New Jersey Long Range Forecast Week of July 18-24
This is likely to be the hottest week of weather for New Jersey so far this summer. Ahead of the heat and high humidity we have a warm and humid Sunday with clouds and some sun with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s. There may be some scattered showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon into this evening.
Late tonight into Monday morning as the GFS loop above shows, we could see some downpours in North Jersey followed by showers and thunderstorms late in the day Monday. There is the risk for severe weather Monday as indicated by the Storm Prediction Center. Then we transition to hot and humid weather for Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday with sunshine. Highs each day will reach 90 to 95 with cooler readings at the shore thanks to local sea breezes. Late Thursday look for showers and thunderstorms with another cold front followed by slightly cooler and less humid conditions for Friday and the weekend.
