These are the radar views from last night’s severe thunderstorm that moved across the north shore of Suffolk County. Notice the “bowing” or hook forming which is the signature of a possible tornado though nothing has been confirmed by the National Weather Service at this time. The storm rolled through between 4 and 6am and hit areas from St. James to Mt Sinai especially hard with numerous trees and power lines and telephone poles down. Crews continue to work feverishly to clean up and restore power.
