Two Days Of Warm Temperatures Cooling Off Over The Weekend

No Rain Until Later Next Week

Another good looking day for Eastern Pennsylvania but we are now in what I would call a stale high or a dirty high which is moving offshore. This is when the we get morning low clouds and fog which was the case this morning in some inland areas. Also we actually have some clouds moving through today to mix with the sunshine. Southwest winds will warm things up to day and highs will reach the upper 60s to some lower 70s. A cold front is approaching but once again there is no rain with this front and this will simply usher in the arrival of a new high pressure cell for late Friday and the weekend. Skies will be partially clear tonight with morning lows Friday in the 40s to around 50.

Friday the front nears and passes through with little fanfare other than a few clouds in the mix and shift in the wind from southwest to west and then northwest. We expect to see sunshine or certainly no worse than partly sunny skies. Friday will be quite warm with highs reaching the low to mid 70s. No rain is forecast.

Winds will turn more northerly Friday night and northeast for Saturday, bringing down another shot of cooler Canadian air but this will only lower temperatures back down to about average for this time of year. Saturday which is Halloween will be a mainly sunny cool day with high temperatures in the low to a few mid 60s.

Saturday night will be another clear chilly night with most inland lows in the 30s and warmer urban locations will bottom in the lower 40s. High pressure will be overhead Sunday so it will be a mostly sunny day with highs back to the low and middle 60s. Next week we will continue to see dry conditions until perhaps late Wednesday or Thursday as a storm in the Plains heads to the Great Lakes and an active cold front pushes eastward with some moisture to work with.
