Gusty Winds & Sunshine Today Showers Sunday,

Next Storm System Arrives Tuesday

It is a cold post Thanksgiving Friday with strong gusty winds to 35 mph at times, temperatures today that will struggle to get out of the upper 30s and lower 40s, and partly sunny skies. Low pressure is spinning away in Southeastern Canada cranking up the winds and we will have to wait until Saturday for those winds to ease some. Heavy lake effect snows continue in parts of Western & North Central New York with up to 2 feet of snow forecast. Across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England, other than a stray snow shower, we won’t see any of that heavy snow.

Cold temperatures lie ahead for tonight with gusty winds, mainly clear skies and most lows in the 20s to around 30 degrees and the wind will make it feel 5 to 10 degrees colder, though the wind also will keep temperatures relatively uniform. Winds will ease during Saturday as high pressure moves overhead. It should be mostly sunny for the day but highs will only reach the lower 40s in most places across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England.
