Clouds & Some Showers Into Tonight Ahead of A Cold Front

We have showers moving through this morning on the radar and at least as of 8am eastern time, the area looks rather impressive. However the rain ahead of the approaching cold front splits in two with on area shifting north into New England and another area that will move across the Deep South and Southeastern US. the area in the middle which would be the Northern Mid Atlantic to Southern New England sees some showers today but the rainfall won’t be anything to right home about, generally a quarter to a half inch. most highs today will be in the 60s to around 70 degrees.

WEATHER RADAR
There could be one last surge of showers or perhaps even a thunderstorm this evening as the cold front passes but that will be it as far as rain goes. Weather conditions should improve overnight with skies partially clearing and lows by morning generally in the mid 40s to lower 50s. Thursday I think will be no worse than partly sunny. Temperatures will generally top out in the low to middle 60s.

Friday brings an upper trough swinging through the Northeast and this is going to create some instability clouds and some showers will be scattered around inland with highs in the 60s. As far as the weekend is concerned we have another upper trough moving through with some rain late Friday night into Saturday midday before weather conditions improve. Temperatures Saturday will be in the 60s.

it appears that Sunday, which is Mother’s Day, is going to be a rather nice day across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England. We will be in between weather systems and that should allow for at least some sunshine. Temperatures Sunday will be on the warmish side with highs reaching the middle to upper 70s in most inland places while south winds will keep coastal locations about 10 to 15 degrees cooler. Rain likely holds off until late Sunday night or Monday with another low and cold front approaching.
