Across Upstate New York and New England there is nice dry air. To the south we see high clouds moving through that is filtering sunshine. This is blow off cloud cover from thunderstorms in the Midwest. Northerly winds kicking in will start to bring dew points down. They have fallen across Northern New Jersey, New York City, the Hudson Valley and Long Island but it is taking longer to reach Southern New Jersey and Southern Pennsylvania. Look for a mix of sun and clouds for the remainder of the day with highs in the low to middle 80s. Rain is not in the forecast for today. Skies will clear tonight with most lows in the 60s though there will be some 50s in colder inland areas.

Moving on to the weekend it is split in two. We are looking at a nice sunny day Saturday with reasonable temperatures and humidity. Humidity will be a little higher as you go south in New Jersey and lower as you go north and east of New York City. Saturday highs will be generally in the low to middle 80s.
The second half of the weekend we will see humidity rise again as a warm front approaches from the south and a cold front approaches from the west. Sunday we will see clouds and developing humid conditions. Some scattered downpours could pop up around mid day and early afternoon in a few places. Then expect showers and some thunderstorms to develop and they will become more numerous later in the afternoon and evening.
Sunday highs will reach into the 80s though when showers occur look for temperatures to drop off. Showers will continue Sunday night along with some scattered thunderstorms. We are not expecting storms to reach severe levels. Showers will linger around for the first half of Monday but we could see some improvement for the afternoon and evening. Monday highs will be in the 80s. Humidity levels are expected to be somewhat elevated into midweek.
