After A Morning Freeze Temperatures
Bounce Into The 50s Today 60s Wednesday
Morning lows across Eastern Pennsylvania were in the 20s in most inland places while warmer urban areas were closer to or just barely above the freezing mark. The good news is that the coldest of the cold air will begin to slowly move eastward and offshore today. The winds however will turn to the south and yes temperatures will bounce higher. The south wind keeps the rebound in check so most highs this afternoon will be in the low to mid 50s with 40s along south and east facing shorelines. We should see plenty of sunshine.

Tonight won’t be as cold as we will have some clouds developing. A weak weather system dropping southward will perhaps set off a few light showers in some places overnight into Wednesday morning. Most lows will be in the upper 30s inland and low to mid 40s coast and warmer urban locations. Wednesday probably starts off with clouds and a little patchy light rain early in the day and drier for the second half.
Inland temperatures Wednesday are likely to bounce up into the 60s but coastal temperatures will likely be topping in the mid to upper 50s in most places. We will continue to see temperatures bounce higher Thursday with some sunshine returning. Highs along the coast will be in the mid to upper 60s while inland highs will reach the low to middle 70s.
The flow will become decidedly more onshore Friday as winds turn to the east southeast and we also bring in some developing clouds. This will be ahead of low pressure developing on a frontal boundary to the south. We could be on the road to a weekend of gloom and doom weather along with some rain for Saturday into at least part of Sunday. We still have some issues to work out regarding timing and just exactly how much rain and where. In the meantime we recover from the cold and we are hopefully done with widespread below freezing temperatures, for the rest of the spring season.
