We are waiting for a cold front to the west to finally pass offshore along with the upper trough that goes with it. Humidity levels are still high today as temperatures reach into the 80s. Radars are picking up on a narrow broken line of showers and thunderstorms to the northwest and they will move through early this afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center has a marginal risk for isolated severe thunderstorms along the immediate coast but the odds are low. Once the front does move offshore humidity levels will start to drop and skies will also clear out, especially tonight. By Thursday morning, lows will be in the upper 50s inland and low to middle 60s along the coast.

We continue to deal with a northwest flow in the upper atmosphere which can be a good thing during the warmest part of the summer. Weather fronts move along keeping very warm and humid days to a minimum though the price has been rounds of thunderstorms and severe weather. We have no such issues from Thursday right through the weekend. Thursday we will see sunshine, low humidity and highs reaching the lower 80s in most places across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England.
Friday brings another day of lots of sunshine and after morning lows in the upper 50s to middle 60s, Friday afternoon and highs will reach the lower 80s. Humidity levels will remain subdued. The same forecast holds for Saturday as the flow becomes more onshore but the humidity will remain low. Sunday will see dew points inch up slightly but it will still remain reasonable temperature wise with most highs in the low 80s. No rain is forecast through the weekend. The next chance for any showers or thunderstorms could come late Monday when a warm front approaches and next Tuesday we have another cold front and another round of thunderstorms to deal with.
