Lower Humidity Sunshine Returns & Hangs Around Through The Weekend
We have finally finished cleaning house across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England including New York City, Long Island, the Hudson Valley & Southern New England. The frontal boundary is stalled in the Southern Mid Atlantic and we have areas of rain in the Carolinas and points east. However this boundary is far enough south to allow high pressure to build into the Northeast. The upper flow is northwest so that means the moisture to the south stays to the south. Look for plenty of sunshine today and highs will be in the lower 80s. Humidity levels have dropped sharply as dew points are in the 50s. Radars are nice and quiet and will remain so for the next several days.

Tonight we are looking at clear skies and lows Friday morning will be in the mid to upper 50s inland and low to mid 60s coast and warmer urban locations. High pressure will be moving overhead Friday so expect to see a good deal of sunshine. High temperatures will reach the upper 70s and lower 80s with only slightly lower readings along shore locations.
The flow over the weekend becomes onshore as the high moves to the east off the New England coast but the air will still be dry as dew points will be in the 50s. Saturday should be a nice day no worse than partly sunny skies with high temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s. The same holds for Sunday though the dew points will inch up closer to 60 but it will still be comfortable. Sunday highs will again be in the lower 80s. Temperatures both days will be a few degrees lower along the coast.
Humidity levels will start to rise somewhat Monday though not to oppressive levels. We should have a nice Monday of sunshine with highs into the 80s. The next storm system and cold front will approach Tuesday and the humidity will be going higher. The cold front will approach later Tuesday and it is likely that we will be dealing with another round of showers and thunderstorms.
