Patchy Areas of Rain Today Very Warm Humid Sunday
Week Ahead Turns Hot
We have an east west frontal boundary lying across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England. It is producing cloud cover and satellite and radar show colder cloud tops and areas of rain. There is not much in the way of convection though there are some patches of heavier rain. There are also areas especially north of line from Trenton New Jersey to New York City where there isn’t much rain at all. That is what we are dealing with today, clouds, patches of rain, high humidity, and temperatures in the 70s to around 80 degrees.

WEATHER RADAR
Most of the rain will be either moving out later this afternoon or just falling apart and drying up. There will be some leftover clouds around tonight. Lows will be in the mid to upper 60s. Sunday looks like a mix of a day with clouds, some sun, very warm & humid conditions, and there is the chance for some pop up downpours or a thunderstorm. Highs Sunday will be in the mid to upper 80s.
The week ahead will be a transition from very warm and humid to very hot and humid. In fact we will see some areas approach 90 degrees starting Tuesday and then we are talking mid to upper 90s beginning Wednesday and likely lasting into and through the 4th of July weekend. We also see the chances for any showers and thunderstorms to be on the low side and in some cases near zero.
