A Better Wednesday Showers Thunderstorms Probable Thursday Nice Friday
We have a very nice weather with an ever so slight break in the humidity. The Northeast and Mid Atlantic coastal plain is seeing sunshine. Yes there is a cold front with showers and a few thunderstorms over Western New York and Western Pennsylvania. This front is weak and the storms and downpours will weaken a fall apart long before the front gets here. So enjoy a day of sunshine with perhaps some afternoon clouds. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. The front is going to stall out over night with clouds and lows in the 60s to around 70 degrees.

Moving on to Thursday the stalled front right along the coast is going be an issue. We will likely see downpours and some thunderstorms develop during the day particularly in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures Thursday will be into the 80s until it rains and then it falls back into the 70s. Humidity levels will be high and we do have severe weather risk and also the risk for some local flash flood issues should a storm sit over one place for a long period of time.
An impulse on the front will pull the front out to the east and that should allow weather conditions to improve Thursday night. Total rainfall will be in the 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch range but as usual some places will see double those amounts. Friday is looking like a much better day with sunshine with temperatures close to average and humidity levels that will ease slightly. Highs will reach just into the 80s in most places.
Over the weekend a deep trough dropping southeast from the Great Lakes will drop into the Northeast and this is going to turn the flow southerly aloft. This allows tropical moisture to move northward and we will likely see showery rains and some thunderstorms developing later Saturday and continuing on and off into Sunday. Temperatures over the weekend will top in the upper 70s to some lower 80s with high humidity though when it rains the temperatures will likely ease somewhat.
