WIND ADVISORY FOR LATE MORNING UNTIL EVENING SATURDAY
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING
ACTIVE PATTERN CONTINUES NEXT WEEK

We did manage a break in the action this afternoon however the satellite loops and the radars below are showing the next round of rain firing up to our south and west. Look for this next round of downpours to get underway after the evening commute is over with though Southeast Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey might see some showers come in before the evening rush hour drive ends. Then overnight we will see some downpours and thunderstorms as a cold front approaches and a wave developing on the front moves northward.
REGIONAL RADAR
The risk for severe weather continues tonight as the Storm Prediction Center has the entire stretch from Southeastern New England southward along the coast to North Florida at a marginal risk for severe weather. It might be a good idea to keep an eye on local radars tonight.

That low will strengthen on Saturday in New England with the rains coming to an end from west to east during Saturday morning. This will be followed by strengthening winds from late morning until early evening on Saturday. Wind Advisories are now posted for most of the area and you can expect winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts into the 40 mph+ range during the afternoon. This should work to blow leaves down now that the color change is completely underway in most of the area. Temperatures overnight will hold in the 60s until the front passes and then settle in the 50s on Saturday. Some sunshine should break through the clouds Saturday afternoon.
Sunday looks like a good day with sunshine and much less wind as high pressure moves overhead. This will set up and onshore flow later Sunday and clouds will start increasing from south to north Sunday afternoon and evening. Temperatures Sunday will be in the cool low to mid 50s.
The onshore flow brings in Atlantic moisture and we could see some showers or some patchy light rain or drizzle on Monday as a warm front struggles northward. Low pressure from the Southern Plains develops and heads to the Great Lakes Tuesday strengthening into a major storm. The cold front from this system approaches with the chance for showers and thunderstorms late Tuesday and Tuesday night. Colder air follows and then another cold front with showers arrives late in the week. The overall weather pattern is a busy one and it will continue until further notice. Weather systems will continue to move through every couple of days with shot of colder air behind each one and warm ups in between.
