Another Very Warm Humid Day Showers Thunderstorms Possible Late Day
Another very warm to hot and humid day across Eastern Pennsylvania but we do have another upper trough and weak weather front approaching. Yes there is the risk for a shower or thunderstorm today but the Storm Prediction Center is lining up the risk to our south with a marginal risk in Southern New Jersey for an isolated severe storm to a slight risk from Virginia west and northwest so we should miss out on serious fireworks. Otherwise sunshine will take highs to the upper 80s to around or just over 90 degrees. We will watch for scattered evening downpours or a thunderstorm and then whatever storms are around will disappear.

Slightly cooler and slightly drier air will begin to arrive late tonight with lows in the mid 60s inland and upper 60s to near 70 along the coast. Wednesday we will see some humidity relief mainly from the northern half of New Jersey north and northeast. To the south dew points will still be on the high side. We will have some sunshine and highs will generally be in the mid to upper 80s.
A stronger front and upper trough will arrive late Thursday so it will be another very warm and humid day with some sunshine and there is the risk for scattered downpours and thunderstorms though as far as severe weather risk goes, it is a bit uncertain at this point. Thursday highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. The good news is that there is a solid push of dry air coming for Friday. It may start off a bit on the humid side with perhaps some leftover clouds but sunshine will soon develop. More importantly, dew points will drop down into the 50s by mid to late afternoon. High temperatures Friday will be in the lower 80s. We should hold on to the dry air Saturday and early Sunday before we go in the next cycle of rising humidity.
