90 Degree Heat Next 3 Days Peaking Saturday
Before Cold Front Arrives
One thing about early season heatwaves is that they usually come with low humidity. That will be the case today and Friday and to a certain extent Saturday when the dew points are forecast to rise a little. We have another day of clear skies in the Eastern US so with sunshine and a high parked right along the Mid Atlantic coast, temperatures will shoot higher and highs this afternoon will reach the upper 80s to around 90 degrees or so in most places. The exception will be the immediate coast where local sea breezes will develop this afternoon and cool the temperatures off in those areas. Radars are nice and quiet.

WEATHER RADAR
Most lows tonight under clear skies will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s from inland areas to the warmer urban locations and the coast. Friday will be a sunny hot day and hotter than today as highs will reach into the 90s in most places. Again local sea breezes will cool off the coast in the afternoon and evening and radars are forecast to remain nice and quiet.
Dew points will start to rise Saturday and we have an approaching cold front from the north. This is going to set us up for a mostly west wind and some sunshine at least into the afternoon. Highs Saturday will reach the low and possibly some middle 90s in the hottest spots. Late in the day we look for the chance for thunderstorms to develop especially inland and north. There is also the risk for isolated severe thunderstorms to be in the mix.
The front is going to get hung up for awhile going into Sunday which will still be a very warm and humid day with highs in the mid to upper 80s. There will some some showers and thunderstorms running around until the front can push far enough south and allow drier air to arrive for Monday. There could also be some severe weather risk with isolated severe thunderstorms possible until the front pushes southward. Next week will begin a little cooler Monday as high pressure builds across New England but we will probably warm up again going into midweek.
