Winter Weather Advisory NYC Long Island

Coastal Ct Hudson Valley New Jersey Except NW

The Winter Weather Advisory has now been extended to cover Long Island, New York City, Northeast New Jersey, the Lower Hudson Valley & Coastal Connecticut (South of Route 84). The Winter Weather Advisory continues for the rest of New Jersey except the Northwest, and Eastern Pennsylvania mainly south of Route 78. The radars are showing patchy snow sleet and freezing rain. Except for the immediate coast where it is above freezing, temperatures in most areas are in the 20s so there will be some light accumulation of ice and snow this evening through the rush hour. This is a weak system so it should all be overwith in most areas late this evening. Weather conditions should improve overnight but some icy areas will continue into the early morning hours.
