Winter Weather Advisory NJ PA NY 01102017
Winter Weather Advisory continues across the Northern and Western counties of New Jersey as well as for Sullivan and Ulster Counties and most of Pennsylvania except the extreme south. We are seeing some lead activity moving across Pennsylvania this morning and if it holds together, there could be a quick burst of snow. The main area of rain will be coming in tonight and temperatures inland could still be below freezing. Typically in these instances cold air tends to hold on longer especially where there is snow cover. Most areas under the advisory should see an inch or less of snow and perhaps up to a tenth of an inch of ice.
Regardless temperatures do climb overnight as warm air arrives. We will be in the 50s on Wednesday and some places will reach the 60s on Thursday depending on how much cloud cover there. Colder air returns Friday with the threat for snow or ice coming this weekend.
