Weather Forecast: 2 More Days in the 70s & Then Colder Air Arrives Friday

The weather forecast for the next few days is pretty straight foward with 2 more days of tempertures in the 70s for highs with sunshine and just a few passing clouds. However there is a cold front that is going to pass through here Thursday night and ahead of it there could be A shower and nothing more.

wednesday thursday

Behind it the Canadian portion of the jet stream sinks southward for a couple of days and this allows high pressure and colder air to build in. It is not like the last air mass but it will be a cool enough air mass to bring temperatures down to near or a little bit below normal.

Notice that the trough is along the coast and to the east so this is not going to be a big deal as high pressure immediate builds in behind it. Friday and Saturday will be dry with temperatures mostly in the mid 50s to near 60 by day and 30s and 40s at night.

friday

No big deal really. Just part of the normal process. Then we go through this again on Sunday as another stronger trough moves in with another cold front. Again it will come through dry with just the risk of a shower but temperatures Sunday will get into the 60s ahead of all this. The weekend on the whole looks pretty good.

Once the Sunday cold front moves through the players for what happens later next week come on the scene as a system moves into the west and the vortex in Canada remains locked in place. The European model as well as the Canadian today were bullish for a stormier pattern. Here is my FiOS1 News weather forecast and broadcast explaining all this.
