Warmest Day Of The Week Highs 85 to 90 Cooler Coast Thursday

We have arrived to the middle part of the week and as advertised it will be the warmest day of the week. The warm up will be area wide and most highs will reach 85 to near 90 degrees. Humidity levels are low. Even the coast will see temperatures into the 80s before Mr Sea Breeze develops during the afternoon. All in all it will be a very good day indeed with lots of sun from start to finish and no showers or thunderstorms are forecast.

The launching pad was set this morning with temperatures sitting in the 50s for lows. The satellite picture shows clear skies of much of the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states so enjoy the day. Radars should be nice and quiet for the most part with no issues from Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England.

There is going to be a subtle change on Thursday but it only impacts areas along the immediate coast of New Jersey, as well as areas from NYC east across Long Island and Coastal Southern New England. We will call it a sideways cold front or one that basically comes in from the east.

The front is so weak you can barely find it but it does shift the winds to the east along the coast. The east wind will not penetrate that far inland so it is almost like a glorified sea breeze. Temperatures along the immediate coast will be in the 70s and even cooler 60s over Eastern Long Island and upper 50s in Southeastern New England. Everywhere else inland will be in the 80s.

We should have plenty of sunshine Thursday with just a few passing clouds. Friday looks the same but we do have a chance for a late day pop up shower or thunderstorm. The same profile for high temperatures that we will see on Thursday will likely repeat for Friday.

On to the weekend where I think it will be no worse than partly sunny for both Saturday and Sunday. There is the chance for a scattered shower or thunderstorm late Saturday mainly inland and again late on Sunday as a cold front passes. Saturday and Sunday highs will be 70s along the immediate coast and 80s inland. Overall it should be an ok weekend with no major issues. Even if you do get a downpour or a thunderstorm, it won’t last long. Next week looks mostly dry. Monday will be a little cooler with some sunshine and highs in the 70s to near 80. Then it is back into the 80s for Tuesday and Wednesday with sunshine both days.
