WarmerThan Normal Week Rain Chances Along The Way
We are enjoying a nice day overall thanks to a coastal storm intensifying offshore. The radar shows some rain back to the Southeastern New England coast but we are in between the storm and clouds to the northwest so that has left the area mostly in a sweet spot. Temperatures have reached into the 50s in most places and we will settle there for the highs of the day. Clouds to the northwest will be in the mix this afternoon but there are no other issues. Skies should clear out tonight as the storm to the east pulls away and clouds overhead thin out. Lows will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s. It will be on the breezy side into tonight before winds ease overnight.
High pressure building southward from New England will make for cooler conditions Tuesday but this is nothing out of the ordinary and temperatures will be in the 40s. We will likely start the day with some sunshine but clouds will be on the increase as the next storm system moves across Southern Canada and a trailing cold front approaches from the west.
The front won’t have much moisture with it. We will throw in the chance for a couple of showers in the forecast for the overnight period into Wednesday morning. Dayside Wednesday should be a nice day with sunshine. Perhaps some clouds could come into the mix later in the day as a storm heads for the Great Lakes and a warm front comes up from the south. Highs Wednesday will be back into the 50s
Clouds will increase Wednesday night and rain will develop Thursday morning in Pennsylvania and spread into Southern New England as the day wears on. The warm front moves to the north and then the cold front passes with some showers during Thursday evening. Thursday will be a warm day with highs in the 50s and some spots could reach 60 or so.
There will be a short break in the rain Thursday night into Friday morning but the front slows down and stalls to our south and another round of energy swings across the Ohio Valley. This will cause a wave to develop and rain to return Friday afternoon from south to north. Friday’s highs will be in the 50s. We will have rain Friday night into Saturday and as the wave goes by colder air comes in behind it so temperatures Saturday will be in the 40s. Rain should end later in the day and that will lead to improving weather conditions Sunday. Look for sunshine turn with highs just into the 40s.
