Very Warm Saturday Highs In The 80s Cooler But Sunny Easter Sunday

The Easter Holiday weekend is here and it is going to be a very warm & breezy day across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England. A warm front is passing across New England and we have a west southwest flow ahead of a cold front to the northwest and high pressure to the southeast. Temperatures have nowhere to go but up today with sunshine and some high clouds. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s. Even at the coast we will have a limited sea breeze so highs will reach the 70s before any local cooling occurs. The dayside Saturday will be rain free.

An approaching cold front tonight from the northwest will have a dying area of showers and thunderstorms. We are going to throw in the chance for a scattered shower or thunderstorm this evening or during the first part of tonight but chances are most of you won’t see a thing. High pressure builds southward from Canada later tonight and Sunday bringing a shot of dry and cooler air on northwest winds.

Sunday will be a partly to mostly sunny day and most highs will be in the 60s. Some warm spots in South Jersey and points south could reach 70. This high will build in to New England Sunday night into Monday and that will likely bring even cooler air for the start of next week. We also have another cold front that will be approaching and moving through Monday night. However once again the front will be  weakening as it moves eastward and passes offshore late Monday night.

The dayside Monday we will see sunshine giving way to clouds with highs in the 60s. Monday night we will throw in the chance for a shower or thunderstorm as the front goes by. Tuesday we see returning sunshine with highs back into the 70s. Most of this week will be dry with temperatures running a little above average for this time of year and, more importantly, on most days the wind machine will not be working in overdrive! Enjoy your holiday weekend.
