Winds have really kicked in during the last hour as the map above shows we have seen a few gusts over 50 mph. I saw a report of 70 mph between 8 and 8am in Baiting Hollow on Long Island. Overnight the comma head brought 1 to 3 inches of snow over parts of Northern New Jersey and in the Hudson Valley up in parts of Dutchess County. The storm is now just off the coast of Southeast New England and will move away today. But you can already see the next disturbance dropping southeast from the Western Great Lakes. This will bring more rain and wet snow late tonight and during the day Monday.

Radars are showing the storm system moving away and other than flurries and a few showers, the snow is done for today. Nothing more or less than a mix of sun clouds is the outlook for the rest of the day with highs just in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
Clouds return tonight..wet snow and rain develops during the early morning hours. Temperatures will be cold tonight with lows in the upper 20s to middle 30s. Monday low pressure moves almost right overhead so that means the rain snow line will be north of the coast during the day. We may go back to wet snow during Monday evening as colder air returns.
