We are still under the influence of the weekend storm system today with gusty winds continuing for awhile longer but we will see more sunshine today and fewer clouds with just the outside chance for a snow shower. The pressure gradient across the Northeast remains tight but it will begin to finally relax as the low pulls slowly away to the east. Temperatures today will be in the chilly 40s. Tonight there are no issues with clear skies and diminishing winds. Wednesday there are no weather related issues and you should not have any problem travelling as you get away to your Thanksgiving destination.

The next weather system approaches from the west Wednesday night into Thursday. There are two things going on. First is the lead system over us now is going to be slow to move out keeping colder air aloft in a little longer than it otherwise would. The system from the west is weak which allows for some light precipitation to move out ahead of it with out too much warming.
If precipitation comes in fast enough (after midnight Wednesday night into Thanksgiving morning) it could be a mix or some wet snow. I don’t think it amounts to much but a coating to maybe an inch or so in some spots can’t be ruled out. It is a cheap thrill and best chances of this would be inland though I wouldn’t rule it out for the coastal areas. Precipitation amounts on most models is under a tenth of an inch. That really should be about it from this system
Friday night into Saturday we will see some rain as another low moves across the Great Lakes and redevelops off our coastline. This could be a shot of a half inch of rain for most areas before it dries out and turns a little colder on Sunday.
