Snow Moving In On Radar and everything this afternoon including the shortest range models are showing a coating to an inch or so in most places from Southern and Coastal New Jersey northeastward to Long Island and possibly touching south Coastal Connecticut.

The European model this afternoon has backed even further west and actually produces 1 to 2 inches over the same zones described above. Look for snow to move in across Southern New Jersey now and spread to Long Island between 4pm and 10pm. It should be pretty quick and I am going to keep an eye on the radar just in case something winds up surprising somewhere.
Actually from the standpoint of the radar right now the echos are pretty impressive as they move northward. You can see the radar Echos by the Great Lakes and that marks the arctic front as it moves eastward as well. Some snow showers will occur with this overnight into Monday morning over most areas and that could produce a coating of snow especially in any heavier bursts. Those snow showers will be more scattered in natures. Temperatures will fall into the 20s tonight and will stay in the 20s by day through midweek.
