Snow Forecasts Northeast US Monday 12/5/2016
These are the latest snow forecasts for the Northeast with regards to the weather system moving in for later tonight. We continue to see the possibility of a coating to an inch or so in most areas. Some elevated areas north and west of the coast could see an inch or two. There are no important changes though I would point out that areas in the Midwest today received double what models were forecasting.
The NAM model seems to be doing the best with this weather system so we continue to lean on it going forward. The map above shows 2 day snow totals through Wednesday morning. The bulk of this comes with a second shot of moisture later Tuesday and Tuesday evening. Below the maps are mainly for the first round of snow on Monday but check time stamps on maps to be sure.
