SNOW FORECASTS FOR FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND
LOW PRESSURE MOVES NORTHEAST UP APPALACHIANS
ELEVATION DRIVEN SNOWS NORTHERN NY & INTERIOR NEW ENGLAND
The first of two storm systems will be heading our way with the first one coming Friday and Friday night. This first system is bringing the season’s first snows from the Plains to the Great Lakes today into Friday. Chicago will see its first snow flakes with this as will Milwaukee and possibly Detroit. First snows are likely from this later Friday into Saturday morning across Northern NY & Northern New England and it will likely be elevation driven to some extent. This system will bring in colder air into the Northeast behind it and we will likely see another round of snow for the interior Northeast Monday night and Tuesday. All of this is due to the cold weather pattern that dominates the Eastern US and will bring the coldest air of the season during the middle of next week.
