Slow Improvement Lower Humidity Arriving
Last night’s thunderstorms were fast moving and now the cold front has moved through. This means slow improvement lower humidity arriving today with decreasing clouds and increasing amounts of sunshine. The satellite loop this morning shows the northern extent of the cloud cover pushing southward and we should be partly to mostly sunny before too long. It should still be a rather warm day with temperatures in the 80s to near 90 in some spots (including the shore) but the humidity will definitely be much lower as it gets cut in half from yesterday. From Central New Jersey southward clouds will likely be stubborn for while this morning before dropping southward this afternoon.

The frontal boundary will be stalling out to our south this afternoon which is going eventually be an issue but tonight skies should be mostly clear with most lows in the 60s. Then look for sunshine and arriving clouds on Wednesday with highs in the 70s to near 80.
Wednesday night into Thursday morning low pressure will develop on the stalled front across Virginia back into the Ohio Valley and this will bring a few showers. The wave is forecast to keep moving so weather conditions should improve during Thursday with some developing sun and highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Friday looks like a good day with sunshine and highs into the 80s. The weekend will bring another one of these warm front cold front combinations as humidity increases Saturday along with clouds and the chance for some downpours Saturday night and again later Sunday as a cold front pushes through. It won’t be a washout this weekend but don’t expect wall to wall sunshine like last weekend.
