Skiing Snow New England

With the holiday weekend just about here, the weather across ski areas will be not only great for skiing but the snow cover in New England and Upstate NY is astronomical! The third major storm in 6 days will bring more snows to New Hampshire, Northeast Vermont, and Maine with another foot of snow forecast in some places. This is on top of the feet of snow that fell Sunday and Monday, on top of the snow that fell on Thursday. There are no storms for the weekend. Travelling north should be easy on Friday though those of you going up on Thursday toward Maine will be driving into snow. But this storm will pull out later Thursday and weather conditions will improve across Eastern New England rather rapidly. Over the weekend. Daytime temperatures will be in the 20s and 30s over the weekend and nights will be in the teens and single digits. Wind will not be a huge factor since once the storm in Eastern New England moves out, higher pressure will be building in. Snow forecast maps for tonight’s storm are below and updated automatically

SKIING SNOW FORECAST FOR NEW ENGLAND THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT

For those of you staying at home, warmer temperatures will be building over the weekend. Sunday we could see temperatures close to or even into the 60s away from the ocean. We should have sunshine all three days of the holiday weekend. No rain or snow is forecast. The pattern will be warm for much of next week with some temperature fluctuation. No showers are expected until later Tuesday at the earliest. Enjoy your holiday weekend. Winter is not done but it has also taken a vacation.
