Showery Rains Today Into Friday As Low Pressure
Moves Overhead Very Warm Nice Weekend
We have another cold front approaching with low pressure over the Great Lakes heading east. We also have a rather deep upper trough that will move into New York and Pennsylvania creating complication today, Thursday and Friday. First off we have today with the cold front approaching. There will likely be a lot of clouds around today along with a few renegade showers that pop up. However there will also be long stretches today where it won’t be raining. South to southeast winds will keep temperatures in check with highs mostly in the 60s except in the 50s along the immediate coast.

The front will close in tonight bringing showers and perhaps even a thunderstorm or two in the mix. The front will also be slowing down as it moves offshore and a low is going to form on the frontal boundary. This is going to prolong the period of shower risk through Thursday and probably Friday as well. Again it doesn’t rain everywhere all the time. Thursday morning lows will be in the 50s. Thursday highs will be in the 60s.
Scattered showers will linger around Thursday night and also in Friday though the shower chances will diminish and we will remain in clouds otherwise. Rainfall amounts will vary between a quarter and a half inch over the three day period so we aren’t talking about a lot of rain here. Friday temperatures will also be in the 60s. Low pressure will move offshore and allow for high pressure off the Southeast US coast to build in for the weekend. Skies Saturday and Sunday should be no worse than partly sunny. Temperatures Saturday will be in the mid 70s to around 80. Sunday will be even warmer with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Temperatures both days will be a little cooler along the immediate coast. No rain is in the forecast through the weekend!
