Showers Thunderstorms Overnight into Saturday Windy Cool Clouds & Sun Sunday

We have arrived at the doorstep of the weekend & we are also coming to the end of 4 consecutive nice weather days across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England. We have not seen 4 days in a row of nice weather with seasonal temperatures and not much wind in quite a long time. Enjoy today because the winning streak is about to be broken. We are going to see sunshine today gradually giving way to high clouds increasing from west to east. High temperatures will be in the 70s except it will be cooler along south and east facing shorelines with a southeast wind. No rain is forecast through this evening.

WEATHER RADAR

You will notice on the regional radar that we are starting to see some rain spreading into Western Pennsylvania and Western NY. This is all ahead of a warm front that is setting up across Southern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. Rain will overspread Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England late this evening and last through the early morning hours Saturday.

We may catch a short break from the rain Saturday morning but the cold front with this weather system will kick off one last round of showers and thunderstorms from mid morning until early afternoon Saturday. Pehaps we could see some improvement in weather conditions from west to east later Saturday afternoon. Temperatures Saturday will be in the upper 60s to middle 70s.

Sunday is going to be the better of the two weekend days from the standpoint of no rain but there will be a lot of self destructive sunshine along with a gusty northwest wind to 30 mph or more. Temperatures will topping out in the cooler low and middle 60s. A cold unstable air mass will be responsible for developing cloud cover. There is the outside chance for a scattered shower but the chances are low.

Next week the wind calms down Monday and we will begin a warm up. Sunshine Monday will take highs into the 70s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be two very warm days ahead of a cold front. Highs both Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the 80s until another front passes. There might be risks for showers or a thunderstorm inland areas late Tuesday and again Wednesday but we will evaluate this possibility over the weekend.
