Radars are showing severe weather moving into and through Southern New Jersey south into Delaware. We have already seen numerous severe thunderstorm warnings with more to come this evening. Once that area moves out we get a break but there are showers and thunderstorms loading up to the west in Pennsylvania. This is part of the frontal system that will be heading here for Saturday. Overnight will be warm and humid with lows in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Some showers or a thunderstorm could sneak in during the early morning hours and toward day break.

Saturday will make it three days in a row of severe weather risk. It will be a warm tropical day with this cold front approaching. The remnants of Hurricane Laura will be completely absorbed by the cold front though there may be an identifiable core of storms that remains. The Storm Prediction Center has most of the area in a slight risk for severe weather Saturday.

Showers and thunderstorms Saturday will come in waves so there should be some short breaks in between rounds. The cold front on the NAM reaches the coast Saturday evening and weather conditions should start to improve Saturday night. Highs will reach into the 80s though some areas may struggle in the 70s depending on cloud cover.

Behind the front is the payoff. Sunday and Monday will be two very nice days indeed with low humidity and sunshine. High pressure builds down from Eastern Canada. The air will be much cooler with highs Sunday in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Monday’s highs will be mostly in the 70s. It will start to turn more humid beginning Tuesday with another cold front coming at the end of the week.
