This evening’s severe weather over Central and Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania is now long gone. The thunderstorms which did a number on parts of South Jersey especially around Cape May where there was considerable damage with down trees and power lines.

No we have clear skies over much of the area and it will be a quiet night with lows in the 60s except some 50s likely in the cool spots inland Hudson Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania.

There are no worries for Wednesday. We will have lots of sunshine with low humidity and highs mostly in the low to mid 80s. Radars will be quiet through Wednesday evening.

Thursday brings the next weather system as low pressure tracks to our south on all models. This probably means the warm sector and severe weather threat sets up south from Extreme Southern New Jersey southward. North of there it will be a northeast ocean flow that will keep things cooler with rain and some heavier downpours.
