The Storm Prediction Center has hoisted a Severe Thunderstorm watch for the Southen half of New Jersey mainly south of Route 195, Southeast Pennsylvania into Maryland, Delaware, and Northeast Virginia. This is the area that is on the warm side of the stalled frontal boundary that lies right across the middle of New Jersey and extends into Pennsylvania. South of that boundary temperatures have reached into the 80s. The atmosphere is highly unstable. The radars are showing increasing activity and thunderstorms are now developing across parts of Northeast Virginia and Maryland. Some of these storms could produce damaging winds and heavy rains. Flash Flood Watches are posted for much of the same area in the Severe Thunderstorm Watch and extends north of Route 195 in New Jersey to Route 78,
