First round rainfall amonts have totaled around an inch or so with Long Island doing very well with the rainfall. The front is getting hung up as a wave develops this afternoon. This should bring a second surge of rain for the mid afternoon through the evening.
Precip continues to look like a solid 1 to 2 inches out of this. Models all are very consistent with the rain out of here from mid evening to midnight from west to east. Then it is lower humidity and reasonable temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday.
This may be the last chance we have for widespread precip over the next week or so. The next front is not due until late Saturday and it doesn’t look to have the same punch as this one.
