Record High Temperatures, then Rain Moving In Monday
We will see rain moving in on Monday with a strong cold front approaching from the west but until then it is more of the same with record high temperatures possibly through Monday. First off for tonight and again on Saturday night we will have some patchy dense fog to deal with across much of the area so be careful if you are out on the roads tonight through daybreak on Saturday. lows overnight will be in the 40s to near 50. Once we get past 8 or 9am the fog should burn off and we will see some sunshine with highs in the 60s. Patchy dense fog will be moving in again on Saturday night with lows in the mid 40s to lower 50s.. Sunday is a bit tricky because the wind may be more south or even south southeast and that could hold temperatures down a touch along coastal communities. But inland 60s to near 70 in some places is a distinct possibility
Radars across the northeast and midwest will remains quiet through the weekend though on Sunday we will begin to see the radar showing rain and thunderstorms moving into the midwest. A strong storm will head to the Great Lakes. The storm should be powerful enough to set us up for a decent round of downpours and even a few thunderstorms during Monday and Monday night. Hopefully there will be enough punch to produce an inch or more of rain in most areas. Fingers are crossed.
Tuesday through Thursday will be dry and cooler. Then on Friday it looks like a shot of cold air is comnig and the question is whether that cold air arrives with some rain or even some snowflakes in some places. We address this issue on our JOESTRADAMUS post.
