Record High Temperatures Possible This Weekend

Record High Temperatures are definitely a possibility this weekend and it should be no surprise given the weather pattern we are in. The map below is for Sunday and while it is early in the game, depending on clouds and how much sun we get these temperatures could easily be 5 degrees too low.

The low that is offshore this morning is going to keep some areas in clouds for a little while but we should see decreasing clouds and an increasing amount of sunshine as we go through the day. The north wind behind the low will keep temperatures in check today and probably not out of the 40s in most areas. Average highs now are in the mid 40s so even this will still mean temperatures finishing a little bit above normal today.

Latest satellite and radar loops below show the low pulling away and it also shows not much to the west or south of us to worry about over the next 2 days so we think Wednesday will be a good day with sunshine and highs in the low 50s. A warm front will go by to our north later Thursday and this could produce a shower when it goes by Thursday night. Thursday highs should reach the mid to upper 50s

Friday we should see some sunshine with highs in the upper 50s and then the weekend comes with warm temperatures and a south to southwest flow ahead of the next cold front. Highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s Saturday and low to middle 60s on Sunday which could mean record highs for some areas.
