Rain South Jersey Today Chance For Showers Tonight & Wednesday
But Dry Again Late Week & Weekend
We have another one of these upside down days where if you are north of New York City and Long Island you will see partly sunny to mostly cloudy conditions and temperatures topping out in the upper 70s. However if you are in Southern New Jersey and points southward today you are dealing with clouds and rain from a low near coastal North Carolina. Temperatures in this zone will settle in the upper 60s and lower 70s for highs. We have see several of these types of days in the last few weeks and that is due to the onshore flow that has been dominant here since late August.

WEATHER RADAR
While the radar is busy from Southern New Jersey south to Coastal North Carolina, the rotation on radar and satellite loops suggest that northward progress of this system will be rather slow. Eventually the low associated with this rain will weaken and we will likely see the areas of rain weaken as well overnight and Wednesday. It is during this time frame that some patches of rain could make it further north to Extreme Southern New England and the lower Hudson Valley as well as New York City and Long Island.
Weather conditions should begin to improve Thursday and it should be dry Friday and through the weekend. We will warm up back through the 70s Thursday and reach the lower 80s Friday ahead of a dry cold front. Then it is back to an onshore flow for the weekend with sunshine both Saturday and Sunday. It will be cooler with most highs over the weekend in the low to middle 70s.
