Rain NYC NJ CT LI Tonight & Tuesday
Today begins a relatively easy week of weather with the exception of late Monday night through Tuesday. We actually ave weak low pressure developing along the coast of the Carolinas this morning that is going to move north northeastward and (shock of shocks) bring a period of rain here late tonight into Tuesday evening. The rain won’t amount much with higher amounts as you go east. The satellite loop is beginning to show clouds forming to the south. This is a small system that some weather models were showing as a major storm a week or so ago.
Regional radar shows rain developing to the south and slowly pushing northward but none of this reaches us today. Highs will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s with sunshine gradually giving way to soe arriving afternoon clouds.

We will get into some rain late tonight and Tuesday and then the rest of the week looks dry. However large scale changes in the pattern will get underway this weekend as the pattern changes across North America. It appears that we will be trending to near or below normal temperatures beginning next week and beyond.
