Weather systems are moving along in the atmosphere and they are basically remaining in weak mode. Upper air disturbances are moving along and staying separate in the flow rather than phasing together. Low pressure this morning is moving up the coat and we have been seeing patchy areas of rain moving through. The radars show some broken areas of rain moving up the coast of varying intensity and we should see this rain continue at least through the rest of this morning and into early afternoon in most places.

Looking at the local radars there are some heavy downpours embedded inside some of the patchy rain rain areas. All of this should be well behaved and I do not expect any kind of flooding issues.

Most of the rainfall amounts should total in the range of 3/4 inch to 1.5 inches before this is all said and done. Then weather conditions will improve on Thursday with partly sunny skies and highs in the 60s. Friday another wave of low pressure moves up the coast with some rain Friday afternoon and evening. This is a fast moving and relatively weak system that goes by.

The weekend sees a third system come by Saturday evening with the risk for a few passing showers. Otherwise it is a mix of sun and clouds for Saturday with highs in the cool upper 50s and lower 60s and the same holds for Sunday with sunshine forecast and highs just into the 60s.

The upper air pattern continues to signal a warm up for next week as high pressure aloft builds in the Eastern US. It could last for a few days with temperatures in the 70s and even the 80s. After that the pattern does break down again to something cooler and wetter which is typical for early May.
