Northeast Weather Looking Good Into Saturday
Now that yesterday’s overproducing and welcomed rainfall of 1 to nearly 3 inches, we can move forward for the next 3 days with no issues and even much of Saturday should not be a problem. On the satellite loop yesterday’s small but compact storm system is continuing its move north. A new low pressure system will be forming off the Middle Atlantic coast over the next few days. That is going to be a player in what happens over the weekend. In the meantime we have plenty of sunshine to go around today with just some passing clouds.

Radars locally are quiet with nothing to worry about through the rest of the week. Highs will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s today and Thursday and in the mid to upper 60s on Friday before things begin to change this weekend.
NORTHEAST WEATHER NAM MODEL SATURDAY AFTERNOON FORECAST
The weather system over the weekend is a rather complex set up. The ocean storm to the east as shown here by the NAM model is blocking the system in the Great Lakes from taking a normal route northeastward. This would mean a simple cold front here and nothing else. However because of the block the energy will be forced southeast to the coast near or just to our south. This creates a more complicated scenario involving a cold rain for Sunday and snow for places not too far away. Overnight weather models were playing their usual back and forth games. We will examine this closely later today. This system over the weekend sets the ball rolling for a much colder week as we head into Thanksgiving.
