Nice Cool Autumn Like Conditions Continue Through Thursday
Chance for Showers Friday
This is day two of what will be a 9 day stretch of nice weather. The one day where we have minor issues across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southeast New York and Southern New England could be Friday when a weather front passes and we get a shower or two. Otherwise we are fine through Labor Day. Meanwhile today it is a west to northwest breeze and a good deal of sunshine. We should see nothing more than a few passing clouds. Most highs today will be in the middle to upper 70s. Radars are nice and quiet.

We are setting up for a cool night with clear skies tonight into Wednesday morning. Morning lows will be in the 50s in most places except near 60 or so in warmer urban areas as well as some coastal locations. The other exception will be areas well inland and north where lows will be in the 40s. Wednesday we see sunshine but it will be a little cooler than today. Most highs will be in the low to middle 70s. Again it will be a day of quiet radars and no rain.
Wednesday night into Thursday morning will be another rather cool night with inland north and northwest lows in the 40s. Most other places will be in the 50s and warmer urban areas will be closer to 60. Thursday will be a partly to mostly sunny day with highs mostly in the 70s and once again not a drop of rain.
The northwest flow from Northern Canada is well established thanks to a rather deep trough in the East then goes all the way down to Florida. The result of this is a cold front that approaches from the northwest Friday and this will be the once chance we will see this week. There might be some scattered showers or perhaps a thunderstorm when the front passes but much of Friday will be dry and if it rains it won’t last long. Behind the front is more dry cool air for the entire Labor Day holiday weekend. This keeps daytime highs in the 70s and most nighttime lows over the weekend in the 50s except for cool spots well inland in the 40s and warmer urban locations and the coast will be closer to 60.
