Next Cold Front Arrives Sunday With Showers Colder Air Next Week

The weekend starts with a day of relative calm though clearly it is a big switch from days and days of sunshine and temperatures hitting 70s with record highs. At least we will see a good amount of sunshine today with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. That is far more November like. Radars are quiet today and we have no rain issues to worry about until later Sunday.

Tonight there are no issues. Skies should be clear most of the night with temperatures not going anywhere with lows in the 40s to lower 50s. Sunday brings a sharp cold front and showers are likely to develop from west to east as the day wears on. Highs will be in the 50s to near 60. There may be a few brief heavier downpours as the front passes.

The wind machine turns on Sunday night and winds are going to be strong and gusty right into Wednesday. Monday look for a mix of sun and clouds with highs just in the 40s. There is a second cold front that arrives on Tuesday that ushers in even colder air. When the front passes some rain and snow showers are possible. Highs Tuesday will be in the low to mid 40s. Then we head down into the 20s to near 30 Wednesday morning.

Wednesday and Thursday will be cold as highs only make it back to upper 30s and lower 40s even though we will see sunshine both days. Wednesday night into Thursday as winds drop off it could very well be the coldest night of the season so far as many areas see lows in the 20s and cold spots could be in the teens.

After Thursday the cold air pulls out and we should warm up some into next weekend. More fronts and more changes are likely Thanksgiving week.
