New York Weather Report: September 1994 Throwback Thursday
First off I can’t believe the moustache. Second OH MY GOD my hair color! Was it that dark? And and to see yourself about 25 lbs ago (okay 30)! I was 35 years old at the time! Joe Moskowitz who is one of the classiest guys Joe ever had the pleasure of working with found this somewhere in the depths of you tube. Enjoy everyone. I sure don’t look like that now.
This is from my time at News12 Long Island where I was one of the originals and worked there from 1986 to 1996. It was the first of its kind as it was the news network for Long Island. It is very hard to believe how much time has gone by since those days. Joe Moskowitz was the morning anchor for a time and the two Joe’s had a great time getting through that horrible shift. We mainly sustained ourselves on very bad coffee. Somehow we managed to struggle through it every day and had tons of fun doing it (most of the time at least! Lack of sleep is a killer). Enjoy it folks. It is actually nice to see some of these old videos surface. It was hard in those days to save this stuff. You had so much to do and the technology then was obviously so basic and crude compared to today. To save a tape on videotape (for those who actually remember what that is) was really a chore to do because you had to get a master tape, hope somebody recorded the show and then dub it over one frame at a time. It could take a long time and more that one person just to get a copy done. Today its all on your phone! So enjoy this Throwback Thursday.
