NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RAINFALL MAPS UPDATED

Given the rains of last night and the additional rains coming later today the National Weather Service rainfall maps have been updated. They have essentially doubled amounts over Long Island while the rains forecast elsewhere are in addition to has fallen earlier. These forecasts DO NOT INCLUDE any rains that are being forecasted for later Saturday and Saturday night. Those rains could be substantial as well. For the latest on that click on the Joe’s Forecast for the NAM model discussion. For the long range check the latest European discussion.

Also the maps on the page are National Weather Service forecast office maps and you can link to them. Just find your geographic area and it will take you to the main local office page. From there you can easily link to what ever watches or warnings are posted. When counties are colored it means there is some sort of watch or warning somewhere or perhaps an advisory. You can check those straight from here.
