Merry Christmas With All Time Record High Temperatures
I know, I know, its just wrong for the northeast to be basking in spring time warmth with highs more typical of mid to late May instead of normal December weather. However here we are with record highs that are going to be shattered today and in some areas all time records will be broken. Sunshine and clouds will add to the warmth and other than a spot shower, it will be a dry Christmas Eve.
Try and overlook the fact that you won’t be needing coats today or Friday and enjoy your Christmas and enjoy your family. It is a wonderful magical time of the year and weather should only play a small part for scenery. Yes we will not have snow and yes it will feel more like Christmas in Florida but why not. After all in most of the world it is summer time! Just ask the folks in Brazil as they head to the beaches.
Christmas Day will be warm with leftover highs at midnight which will break more records. Friday should be a nice day with some sunshine and clouds with temperatures still in the lower 60s. Cooler weather arrives on Saturday along with clouds and some rain as low pressure passes to the west and north. This will set us up for a warm Sunday with some showers before a cold front passes and then here comes the bigger change. Monday it is quite possible that we could be in the 30s all day.
