Long Island Highs Mid to Upper 90s Heatwave Breaks Late Monday
It was a very hot Sunday to finish off the weekend on Long Island. Inland highs reached the middle 90s. Southshore highs will near 90 degrees and it was in the 80s along the shore. The sea breeze is in and we have thundertorms on the radar well to the northwest and inland so it seems that we will not see any pop up thunderstorms this evening. We will have a very warm and humid night ahead of us with lows in the 70s except in the coolest spots in Suffolk county where we could see temperatures drift down closer to 70 degrees.

WEATHER RADAR
Monday will be a transition day. It will be very warm to hot and it will be very humid as dew points climb toward 70. High temperatures are a bit tricky as we will have more clouds around especially in the morning. That will reduce the daytime heatings somewhat. We will probably be about 5 degrees cooler than today but highs should still reach the upper 80s and lower 90s.
