Dry Air About to Arrive Very Warm Thursday Beautiful Weekend

Let The Low Humidity Sunny Weekend Begin

Let The Low Humidity Sunny Weekend Begin

Most of the area today had a nice day of sunshine however the upper atmosphere is active and cold which did trigger a few pop up showers and the odd thunderstorm. What little occurred happened over New Jersey during this afternoon and they came and went very quickly. You see the popcorn nature of the clouds on the satellite picture this. We expect all of this to disappear after sunset and skies will go mostly clear overnight with most lows in the 60s with some 50s in cool spots inland and away from warmer urban centers. Humidity levels will continue to drop setting us up for a nice Saturday.

Regional and local radars show the pop up showers and the odd thunderstorm or two. They come and go so fast often lasting no more than 10 or 15 minutes before they either move along or disappear entirely. Again all of this will be gone by sunset.

There are no changes to the outlook for the weekend. It is going to be beautiful for both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will be mostly sunny with a nice light breeze and highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Saturday night will be a cool one with morning lows Sunday in the 50s in many places except the warmer urban centers and along the coast.

The Best Weather Weekend of the Summer

Sunday will be mostly sunny and nice with low humidity. Most highs will be 80 to 85. Monday will start with sunshine but high clouds will increase as the day wears on. It will be warmer and it will start to turn more humid as the day wears on. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. We have a warm front cold front combination setting up for Monday night and Tuesday. Monday night we could see a few showers or a thunderstorm as the warm front passes. Then Tuesday we wait for another cold front and a chance for late day thunderstorms. This could be another episode of severe weather so we will have to keep our eyes on it. We will look at this a bit more carefully over the weekend. Enjoy what could be the best weather weekend of the summer season.
