Rain Arrives Tuesday
Rain Arrives Tuesday
Everything remains on course for rain Tuesday and a second shot later Wednesday and Wednesday night. In the meantime we have just a few clouds around tonight mixed with clear skies as low pressure develops and moves northeastward from Nova Scotia. Meanwhile to the west low pressure is developing in the Plains. The satellite loop shows a well defined twist in the clouds moving northeast into the Dakotas. It is around that storm that two distinct areas of rain will move through our area beginning Tuesday morning.
Radars will remain quiet through the evening Monday after which we will start to see radar echos increase from the west. Tuesday’s rains should range from an inch to an inch and a half in most areas.
The second round for later Wednesday and Wednesday night should double these amounts so we area still in course for at least 2 to 3 inches of rain from this double event.
We have two weather posts dealing with the long range. One from JOESTRADAMUS and the other from ANGRY BEN! They are both worth a read since both point to a colder pattern ahead though there is still much skepticism and uncertainty.
